Using the Chattahoochee River as its focus, this seven-foot-tall immersive film flows through the history of Columbus and the Chattahoochee Valley, contextualizing exhibition themes of Perseverance, Innovation, and Growth through on-location footage, illustrations, and motion graphics.
Housed in the Innovations gallery theater, Cultural Contributions celebrates the many world-famous artists who have called Columbus home. Hand-drawn illustrations, motion graphics, original footage, and in-person interviews showcase the unique atmosphere that inspires the city’s creative community.
This 55 inch, portrait-oriented film highlights historical landmarks across America’s race, gender, and labor movements, demonstrating their interconnected nature – both locally and nationally.
A series of five interactives throughout the exhibition where visitors can explore digitized versions of museum artifacts, as well as learn more about famous Columbus musicians, such as Ma Rainey and Chet Atkins.
